Women and Children Safe Guard Issue


One of the most important functions of EDAS is to save women, girls and children from deprivation, discrimination, inequality, insecurity, violence, repression, early marriage, trafficking and social barriers carrying out its role through Women and Children Safe Guard program. EDAS works to ensure safe guard interest for children and women supporting educational expenses, financial initiatives to the extremely poor households and providing skill training for income generating and employability. EDAS has formed 88 women groups. Each group consists of 500 household women. EDAS has involved these women groups to promote family food security and nutrition through providing skill training on household productivity, home-economics income generating and household level entrepreneurship. EDAS works for women development and empowerment to make women the best safe guard for their children.
